Blue Card
The EU Blue Card is a residence permit for highly-qualified workers from outside the EU who wish to live and work in an EU Member State. To be eligible for an EU Blue Card, you must meet the following basic requirements:
1. University Degree: You must hold a university degree or equivalent qualification that is recognized in the EU country where you wish to apply. This degree should be relevant to the job you are applying for.
2. Job Offer or Contract: You must have a valid job offer or contract for a position that meets the minimum salary requirement. The employment must be for at least one year.
3. Salary Requirement: Your annual gross salary must be at least €43,800 (as of 2023) or €45,300 (as of 2024), or at least €39,682.80 (as of 2023) or €41,041.80 (as of 2024) if you have a degree in a shortage occupation.
4. Regulated Professions: If you are applying for a regulated profession, you must also meet the national legal requirements for that profession.
5. Valid Passport: You must have a valid passport that is valid for at least 15 months beyond the intended date of your departure from the EU.
6. Sufficient Funds: You may be required to prove that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay in the EU.
7. Health Insurance: You must have health insurance that covers the costs of any medical treatment you may need during your stay.
8. No Criminal Record: You must not have a criminal record that poses a threat to public security.
9. Integration Course: You may be required to participate in an integration course to learn the language of the EU country where you are applying.
10. Proof of Accommodation: You may be required to provide proof of accommodation in the EU country where you are applying.
11. Application Fee: You will be required to pay an application fee.
12. Proof of Employment: You may be required to provide proof of your previous employment history, if applicable.
13. Proof of Qualifications: You may be required to provide proof of your qualifications, such as transcripts and diplomas.
